Medela Softcup Feeding Spoon

Spoon bottle developed for short-term feeding of babies with sucking difficulties, as an alternative
€26.84

Description
Spoon bottle developed for short-term feeding of babies with sucking difficulties, as an alternative to conventional feeding with a bottle or spoon. It features a soft silicone spout, shaped like a spoon, and a graduated 150ml container with a curved base, allowing for monitoring the amount of milk administered. The one-way valve system facilitates flow control, making feeding more adaptable to each baby's needs.

Benefits
Allows for the gradual and controlled administration of breast milk, colostrum or similarly consistent liquids, easing feeding for babies with sucking difficulties. The adjustable flow helps regulate the amount of liquid provided at any moment, while the container's shape minimizes waste. The graduations allow for tracking the amount ingested, aiding in monitoring feeding. It is reusable, provided it is properly cleaned and disinfected according to the brand's instructions.

How to use
Carefully wash hands and check the temperature of the liquid before feeding. Assemble the spoon bottle according to the instructions, fill the container and squeeze the reservoir pads to release air and allow the liquid to enter. Hold the device horizontally, slightly tilted upwards, and gently press the pads to direct the liquid to the tip. Touch the baby's lips with the tip of the reservoir to stimulate mouth opening and gently support the reservoir on the lower lip, with the tip facing upwards. Give slight taps on the device to assist with ingestion. It is recommended that the first uses be supervised by a healthcare professional. After each use, disassemble, wash, and disinfect the parts according to the manufacturer's instructions.
